Linux Commands

Here is a list of basic Linux commands and there functions this is mainly just for my records but feel free to take a look and I hope that these can help others too. šŸ™‚

arp – Command mostly used for checking existing Ethernet connectivity and IP address

ps – Displays all processes running on the server.

top – Displays many system statistics and details regarding active processes.

who – Tool used to monitor who is on the system and many other server related characteristics

alias – Create your own name for a command.

arch – Print the machines archithecture.

free – Display free system memory.

mail – A mail processing system, which has a command like interface.
